We offer bioidentical testosterone pellets to help manage congenital or acquired hypogonadism or other conditions that cause testosterone deficiencies. Testosterone pellets are a sterile cylindrical pellet that is implanted under the skin. Potential advantages of pellet usage include the infrequency of dosing, guaranteed compliance, and lack of transference. Studies on our pellets show that absorption occurs through uniform erosion of the pellet’s surface through contact with the tissue fluids in a uniform and steady manner.

Hypogonadism commonly affects men over the age of 60, affecting libido, muscle mass, and energy. Testosterone pellets provide a stable, consistent dose over a course of 3 to 6 months. These small pellets are implanted under the skin during an office procedure. Responses vary but some patients note a difference within a few days. Both men and women receiving hormone therapy need to be monitored for their response to the medication and possible side effects. If a patient chooses to discontinue treatment, the pellets do not need to be removed, they will dissolve.
The testosterone used in this medication is derived from plants and is bioidentical to endogenous hormones. Absorption occurs through uniform erosion of the pellet’s surface in correspondence to the solubility of Estradiol in extracellular fluid. Potential advantages of pellet usage include the infrequency of dosing, guaranteed compliance, and lack of transference.
Carie Boyd Pharmaceuticals’ experienced pharmacists are available to answer questions and provide support for medical providers wishing to offer testosterone pellets to their patients.
