Retail Pharmacy

Pharmacy Compounding
In every field of medicine, there are some patients who don’t respond to traditional methods of treatment. Sometimes they need medicine at strengths that are not manufactured by drug companies, or perhaps they simply need a different method of ingesting a medication.
Pharmacy compounding meets these needs. It provides a way for physicians and compounding pharmacists to customize an individualized prescription for the specific need of their patient. Compounding provides solutions which are not met by commercial products.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Consultation
During a one on one consultation, pharmacist Carie Boyd can provide a thorough assessment based on your medical history and symptoms. Working with you and your physician, they can provide innovative solutions using compounded medications and treatments.
Upon referral from your health care provider for a consultation, our pharmacists will:
- Review your medical history and current medications.
- Review your labs.
- Discuss your medical symptoms
- Educate you about your options for treatment
After the consultation, the pharmacist will make a specific recommendation based on your needs and will consult with your healthcare provider to obtain an appropriate prescription.
Wellness and Nutrition Center
At Carie Boyd’s Prescription Shop, we strive to provide the best products available. It is our policy to stand behind the products we sell and the medications we make 100 percent. For this reason we carry very few nutritional lines.
Immunizations and Vaccines
At Carie Boyd’s Compounding Pharmacy, our specially trained pharmacists who have completed an extensive education program can administer immunizations right in the store. Some immunizations may be billed to Medicare or your insurance plan.
The following vaccinations are available from Carie Boyd’s Compounding Pharmacy.
- Flu
- Pneumonia
- Shingles
- Meningitis
- Hepatitis
- Adult Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis
Some vaccines may require a physician’s prescription.
